More Happy Moments With Jessica...

- When all of a sudden traffic slows and you can't figure out why, then, sixteen cars in front of you, you see a cop. Makes me laugh every time
- America's Next Top Model marathons- I don't know why. Don't ask

Things I'm Grateful For

You know sometimes life is hard. When it gets rough, it is so easy to feel sorry for yourself, to give up, or to feel bitter. Sometimes it feels like you've got nothing to look forward to because all that you've waited for has fallen through. The good news is that there are so many things about this life that make it totally worth it. Here's a list of some things I like to think about...
- Snowcapped Mountains
- Crossing guards helping little kids get to school
- Crunchy leaves
- When people snort when they laugh
- Being chased by Chiuahuahs
- Getting phone calls/text messages from my sisters
- People who whistle or sing to themselves on campus
- Laughing when it's supposed to be quiet
- When you're singing songs in sacrament meeting and the kid behind you sings really loud and off key... but he's happy about it
- Flannel sheets-especially just after you put them on
- Edward Cullen... Just kidding. Or am I...
- Emilie finding my future husband
- My truck
- Running up the stairs at my house
- Inside jokes
- Cloudy days
- Sunny days
- Just days
There's much more but I gotta get back to work. It just amazes me how much the little things matter

Boys Boys Boys

So since this is what I keep getting asked about I figured I'd give you a little blurb even though there is nothing too exciting going on. I've actually been dating a lot lately, and let me tell you I HATE IT! I keep getting asked out by weirdos. I went to watch my roommate play in her show a few weeks ago. Her band was the last to play so we sat through a few others, including a band called Green Like July. After they were done the guitarist came up and asked me if I'd like to hang out sometime. I was a little taken aback but said sure after a few moments of hesitation (I am very clever) and he proceeded to ask for my phone number. He got my number and then he left! He didn't say anything else! Weird... Anyways he called me the next weekend and took me to the haunted woods and then we went back to his apartment to watch a movie. I sat with my arms folded (universal DONT TOUCH ME sign) and he reached for my hand. He kept trying to like unfold my arms! Of course, being as deftly clever as I am, I just pretended I didn't know what was happening... I think that from now on I will just tell any suitor that I'm married to a Japenese sailor munk who's across the sea working for the FBI on a top secret case in Jamaica and when he gets back he's gonna kick their butt! Good idea, yes?

SCHOOL IS OUT OF CONTROL!

Is anyone opposed to me dropping out of school??? I've been seriously contemplating it... Ok so not really but homework has officially taken over my life! Really I like school a lot. My classes are great and I'm learning a lot, especially from my sociology and psychology classes. Soon I'll be able to analyze you all and figure out what's really wrong with you... :) Sorry blogging friends, I know I said I'd be better about blogging but it looks like I lied. It was on accident I swear!

THIS WEEKS TOP STORY....

ABBY PLAYS FETCH!

I'm not kidding. My cat is like 3/4 dog, I'm sure of it. I took a picture so I could show all of you... but the thingy is still packed. I'll post it later :) She also has been given a haircut from my roommates. Wait until you guys hear this. I was over at my friends apartment when I started getting picture messages of Abigail from my two very bored roommates. I couldn't really tell what was going on in the pictures, but regardless I headed home just to ease the boredom of my dear friends. To my great astonishment Abby's tail had been shaved! After unsuccessful attempts at trying to bleach it, dye it red, and put sun-in in it they just decided to shave it... I seem to be living with boy scouts :)

MOVING!

So since I moved out of my parents house back in 2006, I've been in the exact same apartment. I know that's probably like 'whatever' to you married folks, but as a single college student THAT'S A LONG TIME! I've been busy packing like the last two weeks, I finally get to move into my new place this Saturday! It's a townhouse and like twice the size as the apartment I'm in now. Needless to say, I'm stoked. Sorry there's no pictures, I actually took some but I seem to have packed the little wire thing to get the pictures from my camera to the computer... whoopsies :)

So as it turns out, I'm horrible at this blogging thing. I've never been good at keeping a journal, so I suppose I'm not surprised. Sorry Em... However I've made the resolve to do better! I've been keeping up on Emilie's and Angie's blogs, they really are so fun :) So here we go! Be prepared to be blogged I say!

Armadillos - Spiders - and Alligators OH MY!

Sweet Home Alabama! I was recently able to go visit my sister Emilie at her new home in Fort Rucker, Alabama. I was really really excited to get to spend time with her and the boys, but i never dreamed i'd get to meet so many new friends... See that ripple in the water? That's a six foot alligator! When we were on the way to see the alligator there was an armadillo on the side of the road. Although I was not NEAR as startled as Emilie claims, I was really surprised. It was big! And definitely not so cute... only in Alabama!
